"Happy birthday Lexy!", said a half drunk voice behind her.

Lexy turned around and smiled. It was Jen: the girl with whom she had been flirting with on a regular basis for the last year or so.

"Thanks!"

After an intense look, Jen said, "I have a surprise for you later!"

"What is it?"

"Later!", said Jen with a big smile.

At 11:50pm, Lexy thought that "later" had arrived since she had asked that question two hours earlier. She looked around and couldn’t spot her amongst the thirty people or so stuffed in the basement. Oh well, she thought, I’ll wait...She sat down on a chair placed against the wall along with many others, though those were unoccupied. She thought about what the surprise could be for the following minutes and, right when she was about to get up and talk with her guests, she noticed her friend Val sit in the chair next to hers.

"Lex, THIS is the best birthday present you’ll ever get!"

Lexy stared at Val’s humongous smile with a confused look on her face and stayed that way until she saw, from the corner of her eye, another female figure coming her way...
